Eilir Ann Daniels
Full Member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives)
Eilir is Your Welsh Ancestors' founder and chief researcher. Her degree from the University of Wales involved studying how industrialisation affected different aspects of UK and Welsh society from the eighteenth century onwards, and this academic background now serves as a firm basis to her research work.
She has been studying various aspects of family and social history since her early teens and, as a result, has around thirty years experience of researching in various archives around Wales, including the National Library in Aberystwyth. She is an expert in all aspects of Welsh family history research and has also studied the histories of families that have their roots in various areas of the UK and beyond.
Eilir is the Wales columnist for British Connections, the journal of the International Society for British Genealogy & Family History (ISBGFH), and presents talks on Welsh family history topics for the ISBGFH's Winter Webinar series.
She has carried out research for several radio and TV programmes in Wales and the UK, including regular research for the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are?, S4C, and BBC Radio Cymru's Iola Wyn programme, answering listeners' questions, tracing the ancestors of well-known Welsh celebrities and giving advice on Welsh family history research.
As a Welsh native and fluent Welsh speaker, Eilir has the added advantage of not only having first hand knowledge of Welsh culture and society but can also research historical documents written in Welsh and can offer clients the option of receiving their reports in Welsh or English.
Our experience means you can rest assured that your projects will be handled professionally and final packages will be researched, written and designed to a high standard. Eilir has been been a Full Member of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA) since 2014, as recognition of her high standards of expertise and abides by its Code of Practice.
What our clients say...
This is a monumental piece of work and I congratulate you on the extent and thoroughness of your research. I am delighted with the result which will now be included in the Williams history archive.

I really mean it when I say you've done a marvellous, thorough job... I feel like a piece of my life that I've always been looking for has fallen into place... The book and everything in it looks so efficient.
